Barber Billing Terms

These commercial terms apply to barbers participating in the BarberNow Montreal pilot and supplement the general Terms of Service.
5% service fee
BarberNow charges a 5% platform service fee on the completed booking value recorded in BarberNow. The fee is calculated from the booking's stored service value. Tips and money exchanged outside BarberNow are excluded unless the booked service value is formally updated in the platform.
Montreal pilot monthly fee
There is no monthly BarberNow subscription fee during the Montreal pilot. The 5% service fee on completed BarberNow booking value still applies.
Future subscription pricing
BarberNow may introduce subscription pricing after the Montreal pilot. Any future subscription price, payment method and applicable terms will be disclosed before they take effect and, where required, the barber will be asked to accept the updated terms.
Billing method
A valid BarberNow billing card must be saved before approval. Card entry is handled through Stripe's hosted setup. During the Montreal pilot, the barber authorizes BarberNow to charge accrued 5% platform service fees to the saved billing method.
Commission collection
BarberNow may collect accrued commission in periodic batches. The pilot implementation evaluates balances on a recurring schedule. Successful, failed, reversed and waived amounts remain in the billing history for auditability.
Failed payments
If a BarberNow charge fails, the balance remains owed and may be retried. BarberNow may restrict or pause marketplace activity for persistently overdue balances after appropriate notice and review.
Cancellations and no-shows
Only completed bookings normally generate the 5% service fee. BarberNow may review unusual booking-outcome patterns for platform integrity. A review flag is not by itself a finding of misconduct.
Price changes
The commission base uses the booking value stored in BarberNow. Changing a service price later does not retroactively alter a completed booking's historical price snapshot.
Pilot pricing period
The no-monthly-fee pilot pricing applies while BarberNow operates the Montreal pilot. BarberNow will provide notice before any future monthly subscription pricing takes effect.
Changes to commercial terms
BarberNow will version material billing-term changes. Where required, a barber will be asked to accept the current version before continued billing or marketplace participation.
